A Peter Sellers classic recording from 1958. No pop videos were made in those days but one probably wouldn't have survived from this session anyway. Black & White film from Uist and Ireland.

  • the tune is actually called 'Tell her I am' - i've been in sessions like this i can tell you!

  • @66gadus If anyone wants to listen to a gentler version of "Tell her I am", without fisticuffs , go to axelrodney's channel :-)

  • The pics werent great to begin with but youtube "improvements" have made them look even worse :-( sorry!

  • Tickled me yet again ! Good to see it tickles others too

  • Thanks again bertiefang. :-).

  • Uistmann,Here I am again looking a lift and a laugh, your captions blended brilliantly with this very funny video, i still think it is the best on You Tube.

  • Hi Oliver, glad you got a laugh out of it. Its also a bit of nostalgia. The fellow carrying the tv and setting it on the wall is on the Island of Benbecula, not not after we got the electricity in so it was easy to tie up with the electrification of the Gaeltacht too which was about the same time. Thanks for your kkind comments, Iain :-)

  • This is fab Iain, love the break in transmission at the end haha

  • How did I miss this one? Hilarious. 5*****. Scotty (Iowa USA)

  • ha ha- brilliant stuff!

  • Amazing!

One of the shrieks yelled out was George Martin (later producer for The Bealtes). Peter kicked a chair during his performance. It flew across the room and accidentally hit George in the shin.

    The Clarences

  • out standing bit of days gone by recording

  • There's another brilliant "Irish" skit called "In a Free State" which is a caricature of the irascible playwright Brendan Behan - anyone got a handle on this one?

  • Thanks for posting. Brilliant stuff. Classic sellers.
