That poor man on fire near the end is one of the most shocking and upsetting things I have ever seen. Remember this happening when I was little. The club had been warned for years to sort the problem of rubbish collecting under the stand for years
Bradford City, 11th May 1985. 56 people died in this disaster which changed rulings with the design and building of football stadiums all over the UK and Europe. The man at 6.00 sadly died along with many others. Within 4 minutes the gentle flicker of a flame had turned the stadium into a burning inferno.

@jonasnight Back in 1985 the stadiums were nearly all made of wood. The investigations led to the fire being started by a cigarette stub (smoking was allowed then) or a lit match. Sadly there was a build up of rubbish under it which helped to fuel the flames. The wind had changed direction that day and was fanning the flames. Saddest irony of all is the stadium was due to be demolished directly after that game and a new metal framed one which was laying in the car park was to be erected.
