My Review on my Broken Verizon Wireless Samsung SCH-A670 Cell Phone.

This phone was my first phone. I got it for either Free or $50 with a 2Yr contract with Verizon. The phone is a very good phone it was really reliable. The phone had gone through a washer machine and a dryer machine when I forgot to take it out of my jeans. When my mom found out and took it out of my jeans the phone was still on both outer and inner screen had the start up Verizon logo and the phone was on and frozen. So I took out the battery and let it dry for a day of so and the battery turns out to be defective but I went to Verizon the next day and bought a $40 battery from them (what a Ripoff) and the phone was full functional which was a relief, but sooner or later our contract ended and the phone's battery port was defective and the phone died and wouldn't turn on any more so I upgraded.

Thanks For Watching

Sorry if quality was bad. (Video was shot at night with a not so bright light)

  • Well, just to let you know, I know the problem. You SHOULD have dried the battery contacts. even a days worth of sitting out in the air with water damage can corrode the battery. So, again I tell you, you should have THOROUGHLY dried the battery contacts (gold metal). Nothing else may be wrong with it. but your battery MUST be corroded

  • @KyleSlaughter322 Yeah should have thought about that. It's just completely dead now unless I get new internals for it.

  • Time to upgrade Ty, But keep your DAYTONA!

  • @tsns1 Yeah. The car is gone already so that will be a very well missed memory. Hope to find another one though.

  • Remove its battery ASAP and dry it w/ a blow dryer on low heat, your dryer built up static electricity & shorted out other parts.

  • @tsns1 Well it's been about 3 - 5 years since that happened, I had done that but there doesn't seem to be any hope left in the phone. Maybe replacing the motherboard & charging port might do it but it's pretty much just a memory now.

  • @JustBeatItNow Stopped you from using this phone? Haha sorry a bit confused at what you're stating here.

  • @blueblade455 Sorry for a late response. Just found this comment while looking at this video. Yes it is a pretty good phone seems very sturdy and tough, but the problem you have it maybe it's just old or heavily used. The Reality is cool and so is the Droid, but they both require data plans. Otherwise I would have gotten one of those or similar.

  • Believe it or not but I'm still using this phone (with the original battery) till this day! Got it almost 6 YEARS AGO from Verizon for about $80 after the rebate and has been the most reliable cell phone I've ever owned! Thinking about getting the Samsung Reality or the Motorola Droid because sometimes the A670 likes to shut itself off if it's getting a poor reception. Plus I just need to upgrade anyways.

  • @bakuganrawesome Well here's the main problem that I didn't mention in the video. I opened it one day and may have accidentally damaged the motherboard. So I called a repair store and they said it would cost approximately $65 to fix or replace everything. Of course if I still wanted this phone for use I could just buy another used one for around $15 to $30 which would be better. So yeah that's it for this this phone.
