  • So is this basically heel toe, except singles as opposed to doubles, with the second stroke always leading back into the first one?

  • @Steve128967

you can think of it that way .. and to get doubles you just have to do the same motion in a faster whip instead of smooth and controlled ., you can also think of it as being as simple as playing a heel up stroke then a heel down stroke and back and forth .. does that answer the question? or did I explain that in a bad way

  • @shadowlorde Nope, that's perfect, I think I might experiment with incorporating this into my own playing. Cheers!

Also, most of the playing in this vid is pretty quick as it is (180-200ish) but would this technique also be suitable for the 250+ stuff, ie. John Longstreth?

  • @Steve128967

    thanks man ..

on a good day i can get my right foot up to 8ths around 230-240 (have to make a vid of it some time) my left foot tops out around 215 -220 .. i don't spend hours per day practicing for speed .. so if someone DID practice a lot to increase speed i'd assume itd be highly possible to take this as far as you want ..

  • @Steve128967

    did you watch part 2?

  • i have BIG feet do you think i can still do this with out the long boards ALSO am i able to do it with shoes on (not joking)

  • @xam154

and forgot to add .. YES you can play this with shoes on .. i normally wear shoes when i play

  • @shadowlorde Yeah I did, missed where you mentioned that when I saw it the first time around, so apologies haha.

  • @snoozymoo your toes should never leave the pedal... (if that's what your getting at)

if that's not it .... mess around with the spring tension

  • @snoozymoo don't see why it should. I use black cams because I like how they feel. ... you have blue cams ... work on it with them ... it's all good

  • @xam154 .. you can do this with ANY size feet .. no problem at all
