After 2 failed attempts there finally was enough wind to lift the kite. This time I was fortunate and Max VK3WT took the video.

  • Hi Jack, after hearing you on the ATV Channel last night talking to Peter VK3PB about your U-Tube Kite exercise I thought I'd go and check them out.....very very good, most impressed Jack, I have often thought about doing the same for 160m Band, good Video work too, keep the good work up!

    Cheers

  • Thanks for the comments Clint, I have been spending too much time with bike videos of late and I should make some more ham videos. Shame about the issues with RTV, I am nearly ready to go live just need to finish the 23cm amp.

    Jack.

  • Jack,

Good production, this must have kept you off the streets for a while!!! I have no doubt you spent some time balancing audio levels. Exposure not too bad either...

    Cheers & 73

  • Well done Jack, good to see it all worked out ok. What a shame the darn things want to come down more than stay up. Who needs a mast to hold the wire up ?. Hi Hi.

  • Hi Jack,

different wind conditions require different kite.

That is why I carry 25 kites with me.

    Cheers

  • oops typos!!! have the wife tabbed sounds fun but should be have you got the line tabbed?

  • Always looking for neew ideas for portable and this is so simplistic I am supprised i never thought of it before. Have you got the wife tabbed for different bands and then wind out as appropriate.

Have you tried using a 9:1 unun and allowing tuning of all bands on one t length?

  • Agree, I knew Peter had the Repeater going but last night was the first chance I had to check out reception on a new DVB-T STB, seeing the picture from VK3RTV-1 going all over the place wasn't immediately reassurring, when you mentioned you were seeing the same thing - that helped, then of course Peter made the post today about RTV having a bug...I have a DVB-S system still to Build...plenty of time!

  • Vy gd jack. Will start my kite this year.
