Synopsis:
Avalon Redding lives in a world void of technology, where humans are slaves and a race called Mages with amazing powers rule the land. Avalon has the particularly dangerous gift of Fire, and after almost killing her little sister one night she decides to run away to the city of Frost arch where the streets are constantly covered in snow. There she meets a very unusual bunch of friends, including a rare and highly admirable flying fox. But when Avalon discovers the secrets of the city she finds herself running for her life.
