  • If you have trouble getting good sound in the restaurant, you may consider putting subtitles underneath in pinyin and in characters so the viewer can follow them.

  • Ah, wo jue de ni shi yi ge hen hao de lao shi yin wei ni shuo de hen hao, wo men ting de dong. Wo hen gao xing ni bang wo men dou xue zhong wen. Wo xue zhong wen xue le san nian le, hai yao xue duo yi dian. Hai you, vanessa branch hui shou zhong wen ma? Hen hao, wo zhi dao le.

    I'm a native Hmong speaker and our language structure and pronunciation is very similar to Mandarin.

  • we use the characters. Pinyin is only for new learner

  • When chinese is writen do you use symbols usually or words. Do the words always have the tones on them? How do you type with the tones?

  • xie xie ni, Benny. I love learning mandarin. Ok i'm still a novice. I've been practicing the tones alot. And in some cases when listening i don't hear the exact pitch as i learned it but the word is still used in the same manner...are the tones really that important? or can they be fudged a little like when your'e angry or very excited? will people still kow what i am saying?
