  • @CzapigaKielbasa thanks for watching

  • hi is there an easy way to convert this to electronic ignition? i know with briggs you can just change the coil to a newer magnatron one

  • @thegenrl not that i know of for this tecumseh

  • Very nice vids! Very informative. What would you suggest could be the main reason for weak sparks on a breakerless ignition system on an old outboard motor? (7.5 hp Mercury '74)

  • @thorpjoern probably the coils, on johnson's there is also a coil pack that can cause weak spark

  • Is there any way to check the air gap even after you mark everything? I've heard a business card works, is this true? Thanks for the vids.

  • @hpsuckz323 usually 6 and 7hp have the same coil and points

  • @thealed29 it should spark without cover, must be the coil, make sure gap is 020

  • is the cover absolutley nessicary, I have a H50 I'm repairing for a mower and I don't have the cover. the points are clean yet I cannot get a spark, I've held the HT lead tip and the cylinder head and I feel nothing when I crank the engine, would that mean the coil needs replacing?
