No, actually you don't have to say anything of the sort.

A really beautiful voice. I think she has a quite different voice than Elisabeth Schwarzkopf had. Besides, she was a very different character than Mrs. Schwarzkopf was, too... I really like Elisabeth Schumann and how she sang.

She is utterly wonderful, beyond compliments, just so superior and as perfect as a
lover of leider could ever wish for....Ive worshipped her since childhood.
All student singers should be made to listen to her...then decide if they want to continue.!!

I just recorded my first song and uploaded it to youtube! Please let me know what you think! I'm singing Du bist die Ruh as well. The link is above, please feel free to listen, THANKS!

Magnificent all round - but especially so at the top end - her beautiful tone remains through the higer notes. It is to be admired how she controls and rounds those high notes into a fullness to keep her tone perfect.
This is truly exceptional - thanks for this introduction!

One of the most beautiful songs of any genre ever composed, and quite possibly the most gorgeous lieder song ever.

Apparently, Elisabeth Schumann had the same sense of wonder and romance as found in the Romantic poets Schubert set to music. No wonder she interprets them so ideally! - John Austin, Australia

@CanadaPisces What a wonderful sentiment and joining two of the most incandescent, fragile creatures together -- Keats and Elisabeth Schumann. A mind after my own. Take care.

Its a bit hard to translate literally.
Ruh = Ruhe = Quietness, Calmness
I would translate it as "You are the peace..."

Her wonderful singing brings to mind the quotation: "A thing of beauty is a joy forever."
Yes, I also think so. She liked her dogs, especially this one, named "Sorry"!
