Another keerthana of Arunachala kavi, as a part of Ramanatakam.

Scenario: Once again, this song is a testimony to Hanuman's genius. His control of thoughts & the concomitant control of his speech- simply amazing. After successfully completing his mission to Lanka, he lands on mount Mahendra and meets Rama anxiously waiting to hear news about his beloved Sita. He does not shout unnecessary information in excitement, he does not jabber, he does not build the anxiety of already anxious people, but he starts with the words "I saw Sita"- sweet and simple. No more information [the english translation is not as awesome as when you read in Tamil. That's why they call "lost in translation"]. It conveys so two main things- (1) that he saw Sita (2) because he is calm it means she is well & good. Relieves the stress of Rama. Again, Hanuman is awesome!

Meaning: I saw Sita. I saw the better half of Rama & the mother who can give everything in Lanka, the place even devas cannot visit (I guess "andar" means devas). Not sure what exactly the first two lines of caranam means but I'm guessing this: she is as pale as the snow in sadness. This part is beautiful: As Ravana entered the garden and came near her, she rebuked "chee chee.. stop right there" (its beautiful because the poet uses a non-poetic word chee in a poem to show how much Sita hated Ravana) pronounced as As she was going to kill herself not able to withstand the isolation, I stopped her by the words Rama Rama & Rama.

- I think it means

Parijam is a kind of flower. She had the colour of Parijam on a winter morning.

paghal oru yugamAgak- kazhittALE pirayAshi

- She spends days as eternity (yugam)

Very nice (no, beautiful) song. No other than Hanuman could conveyed the crisp and expected message to anxious husband.
