Title: "Let Us Not Forget"

Let Us Not Forget - A Message to the American People was recorded after the end of World War I by Thomas Alva Edison. According the announcement on this recording, it was the first and only time that Edison permitted his voice to be commercially recorded for the public. In his message he praises the allied forces. He suggests that all Americans should remember the National Airs (melodies) of it's war-time allies.

  • @phonophan79 y did you remove my comment ??? i was just asking a question ???

  • @urbanexplorer1996 The record is an Edison Diamond Disk - the record is not Diamond, they stylus to play the record is. Edison Diamond Discs were made by laminating an early plastic called "Condensite varnish" over a blank (core) comprised of materials like woodflour, chalk, china clay, phenol resin, cotton flock, lamp black, gas black, and denatured alcohol.
