Hurtful Trich Responses

Trichotillomania is classified as an impulse control disorder whereby the person has compulsive urges to pull out their own hair. (Trichotillomania can have both a physical and emotional impact.)

I felt too nervous to put it up on my "beckie0" channel. The response there has been fantastic and given me the courage to create and upload a new one here.

Important:

Trichotillomania is more than just having bald patches. Many people do not understand that although it's not life threatening, it can have a major impact on a persons life. Because it is something we do to ourselves, we automatically lose sympathy and many people react negatively.... saying the statements I say above.

Millions of people across the world (including myself), are subjected to these statements on a DAILY BASIS, in the form on online and offline bullying, from family members, close friends, partners, teachers, colleagues, Doctors and Medical Experts.

Every statement has been said to me more than once, some of which have been said hundreds of times by hundreds of people. (They aren't one-offs.) Apart from three, every statement has been said by family members at least. There are many more statements I could have added/kept in, but I decided to cut it down.

I do apologise in advance if anything I say is seen to be offensive in anyway. That is not my intention. As I said, every single thing I say has been said and continues to be said at me on a daily basis...

There are some positive responses, but truthfully, the negative responses are more common and there are more of them. I also appreciate that many of these comments are said by people who do not understand Trichotillomania. It still hurts though...
