This video starts out at Flathead Lake. Next is the area around the West Glacier Train Station, just out side the West Entrance to Glacier National Park. Next Lake McDonald, the forest, a lot of water falls, along the the Going To The Sun Highway. Views of the mountains and glaciers, from the Logan Pass Visitors Center, and a close encounter with a grizzly bear. Finally a brief view of St. Mary Lake, and the East Entrance to the park.

  • If anyone is interested, and wants to see a higher quality version of this. Please click on the link in the description to see it on LiveVideo.

  • im going there in June. anything you would recomend?

  • Well everything in this video you can see from the road. So you wont have any trouble finding these places. I'd probably recommend just spending some time in the park and hiking into the back country so you can see more. Hidden Lake is a place I want to see the next time.

  • I would no longer call this a glacier national park because of global warming melting those glaciers away. The view of this place is very beautiful, but where are the glaciers. There is only a small pack of snow left. Less then a decade, all of the glacier would be gone in that park.

  • Mostly true, but I wouldn't worry about it much. This from the GNP website.

"As the climate changed over the last two million years, glaciers formed and melted away several times."

  • Very beautiful, I would love to go there sometime. I like the waterfalls the best!

  • Yea it's nice. i'd like to spend more time there too.:)

  • cute

  • @yellowmonster GNP was not named for the living glaciers there. GNP is the best example in North America of the classic topography shaped by glaciation. The Aretes, Cirques, Horns, Hanging Valleys, Lateral and Terminal Morraines are in abundance. Its not about the glaciers, its about what glaciers do (and leave behind).

  • I will never go on the sun road again. Hairball ride ! Awesome place. My sister lives in Kalispell. I love it up there. Nice vid

  • nice video

    thanks

  • i was there in the summer and it was amazing i took the train

  • wow i <33333 ur vid and this place ive been going 2 time a yea sime i was born and now im 15..!!

  • Spent 2 summers working there and loved, loved, loved it. Would recoment it to anyone who loves the outdoors. I still have some more places I would like to visit so this place will never be boring. When it is raining a bunch and clouds cover the mountains, sometimes it makes it hard to camp and hike but nothing anyone couldn't handle. I can also see why the indians use to come there to enjoy as well. I hope you have more and more adventure in GNP. I can't wait to go back.
