Satch Boogie Expert Drums 5 stars - Guitar Hero: World Tour

This is a video of my play through of the song Satch Boogie on Guitar Hero: World Tour on expert mode drums, which I recorded on 2008-11-21. I really like the GH:WT drum kit now that I'm used to it. The MIDI tuner program and the MIDI cable from Red Octane (thanks for the freebie!) really made my set playable. This was just a fun run and didn't end up being close to my high score.

Nice vid, first played the drum set today, is great fun but is there a solution for making the drums quieter when you hit them, apart from spending loads of money on custom pads?

I haven't tried anything. The pad sounds are not bad at all. They're all much more pleasant than what you hear on the video.

Are you any good on the guitar? I first picked up the GH guitar about 5-6 weeks ago. Ive just endured the transition from medium to hard. I thought id never be able to do it but i seem to have cracked it.

How long have you been practicing to get this good? I got my drum kit about 2 weeks ago and i just about reached good enough to play most of the songs on hard but a couple of the later ones i can only manage on medium.

That's good for 2 weeks. I think I made this video after about 3 weeks of having the game. I think I'm a lot better as of now - I could FC this tune if I gave it a few tries.

Keep at it. Once you can "read" the charts, learning to play them is pretty easy.

@crazylio depends on what you do to it. i had a ps2 drumset that broke on the 1st day, got anouther one and it lasted me a year already and my xbox one has lasted a week+ so far.
