Short video I made of Christmas in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. I would have used Dick Smith's "Walking in a winter wonderland" but there's no snow in the video. So I went with Darlene Love's "Christmas (baby please come home)."

  • I just got back from Honesdale PA yesterday (July 18th). I was there visiting my sister. What a quaint and charming town! I really enjoy going there!

  • @nestlemarie Well, thanks for visiting! Hope you got up to Irving Cliff while you were here.

  • Winter Wonderland would have been a better song since it was written in Honesdale, about Honesdale, by a guy who lived there. Bought a house in Damascus just to be close to this town.

  • I'm well aware of the history. And no, it would not have been a better song. Do you see ANY snow in that video? NO. There is NO snow whatsoever.

  • awwhhh Honesdale! the christmas trees that are as old as my grandfather hanging off the lights and the star on Irving Cliff! my only question is why did you not make 'Walking in a Winter Wonderland' the song? It was written about Honesdale's Central park in the winter! Come on! Everyone knows that!

  • Yeah, duh, Dick Smith wrote the song on Church Street, across from the park. But that wouldn't have fit the video. Do you see ANY snow in the video???
