For all you pet owners out there, how do you think your vet learned what is going on in your pets body? If your pet needs surgery, would take your pet to a vet who had only ever used a computer simulation or a plastic replica?

OMG! OMG! It's not necessary! There are books, computer simulations & models! I think a lot of Peta stuff is crazy & sensational (which is detrimental to the cause of treating animals properly if you ask me) But this has to stop! I had to dissect a number of earthworms and two frogs in school. I'm not a vet, I'm not a biologist, I'm a painter! I didn't become anything that would warrant me needing to do that other than the State of New York said I had to know it!

@majorferret If you see in as a whole, I don't find the difference? Animals (I assume you know we are part of it) do what they do to for survival. There's no such thing as fairness in this world, and we just got to live with it.

@majorferret Yes, exactly! People are selfish, and greedy. Can these problems be eliminated? No! What I meant is that, at least they declared their reasons & the government accepts it.

And then again, if you are not vegetarian, it's kind of like a predator & prey story. We don't call preying cruel, do we?

My stand is, as long as the reasons are accepted (like say, medical research), & the damage inflicted on the animals are kept to the minimal, it is fine. I won't call animal abuse good.
