A very curious Knifejaw

I dove down without my camera ready and this Knifejaw came out and was swimming all around me, often inside the length of my gun. Since he was so fearless and curious, I thought that I could turn on the camera and still get a shot on him, but he never gave me another chance, and I never saw him again on repeated dives at the same spot.

Man,,,Can I come to Japan and dive with you??? Your vids have some mean fish,,,672hawaiian is a good diver too, we dive Hawaii. It seems you have almost the exact same fish as us,,,but way more than us. Shucks. Everybody in Hawaii wants to learn to dive. No more fish. Your spots looks so crip!!

nice size knife...Watch out plenty guys I know who ate um got cig..I ate one I shot and was fine..

luckily, cig isn't too bad over here yet, except in certain species, like the cubera snapper, and close family. I've never heard of anyone getting cig from knife-jaw here.

how is that thing? Good eating? They are pretty rare in Hawaii, so never had the chance of shooting one.
