it is very rare to be able to save a tooth with an abcess. there is infection all through the tooth and the gum disease certainly doesnt help. you may need the extraction to get ease from the pain.
hi... im a 33 year old male... and i have real trench mouth... your right.. it does hurt...my gums are 10 times bigger.. my breath stinks.. my throat hurts.. i suffered many fevers.. i can barley eat anything.. im taking anti-biotics now... nothings changed yet. i was surprized just how fast this all happened and how sick i felt. i had two nights where i was 102.7 in fever.. it sucks.. bad. todays date is 7/17/2010
hi i have for many years now thought what was sinusitus could it be trench mouth i have tried salt rinses etc. can u explain how an infection of an absess is treated whilst saving a tooth which has no cavity but with gum disease surrounding it. i dont want any more extracted perfectly unfilled teeth.i am desperate. as i dont want to have a denture as my teeth have been looked after as much as possible to date.i occasssionaly have ulcers either side of the painful tooth
