Castlevania: Vampire Kiss SpeedRun (part 01)

Hi there I´ve made a speed run on this game castelvania vampire´s kiss, this is another version of the dracula x
Story: The game happens in transilvania, a land once ruled by the king of blood dracula. People there lived in peace thanks to Simon Belmont a hero that sealed dracula away a hundred years ago.Some wicked people cursed by darkness revived dracula, more powerfull than ever. Dracula decided to put his revenge on the belmont clan, so atacked the city and kidnapped Richter girlfriend Anne and her sister Maria. Richter wich is one descendents of Simon Belmont decided to go to Dracula´s castle in order to rescue them, equiped with the Belmont clan whip, the vampire killer, that passes generation to generation, he decides to put an end to dracula once for all.
In this game you play with richer belmont, he´s the best guy in the whole belmont clan

Some notes: as u guys can see in the video richter doesn´t run, he walks. Yeah it´s pretty slow, thats why I go througt the game jumping, so he goes faster, and some times when I jump I use the whip so he won´t get more slow. You know this game is pretty hard and there aren´t many ways to shortcut so I tried to made it the faster I could with no deaths and jumping heheheh. The video was recorded in various segments, this explains the "movie replay" that appears sometimes, no I didn´t use slow or fast time even because this options aren´t avaible on my emulator, and if I would use them I wouldn´t take so many hits (as u can see in the movie). About the bosses the only one that I realy messed out was the giant bat.

I'm all for SCIV and I consider it to be one of the greatest CV made, but come on.. The Castleroids keep the story interesting and it avoids 3D iterations--which is a VERY GOOD thing

I must admit I liked this one more then Rondo of Blood, but Super Castlevania 4 is the best. Symphony of the night is good if you like that kinda thing. AVOID castlevania 64, ps2 version and simons quest. i didnt really like draculas curse i prefer the original nes version or castlevania 1. but thats just me

@LelouchCommandsYou Lords of Shadows follows a different timeline. There, Dracula only appears in the final moments of the game and ***SPOILER*** he is none less than the playable character gabriel belmont to be exact.

@LelouchCommandsYou hmmm I believe so, I remember that there are a couple castlevania games in which Belmonts are related to Dracula, maybe lord of shadows is the one

A good game with great graphics and music and I know it's more or less a port of Dracula X: Rondo of Blood on the PC Engine, but would it have killed Konami to add in the 8 directional whipping and the twirly thing from the peerless Super Castlevania IV? Or to have the R button for using your sub-weapon rather than the old NES controls of holding up and attack? A step backwards imho...

The USA version is Dracula x the EU version is Vampire's kiss

but the game is the same
