CPS1 over CPS2, because it sounds closer to the original SNES theme.

Its really hard to believe that Yoko Shimomura composed the original Street Fighter II music. It sounds soooo different than her later works such as Kingdom Hearts but still this music is way too awesome.
-
I'm pretty sure she was also the composer of Super Mario RPG.

playing street fighter 2 on old atari 520st while listening to this.. rocks!

In SFII, Shimomura did all but three tracks. Naturally they were instead done by Abe.
1. Sagat Stage
2. VS
3. Here Comes a New Challenger
Shimomura had no role in SSFII, as she had already left Capcom by then. All the music was composed and/or arranged by Abe and Syun Nishigaki. For example, Abe did T. Hawk and Dee Jay's themes while Syun handled Fei Long, Cammy and Akuma.

She'll always be the Super Mario RPG Gal for me~
Yoko Shimomura?! This is the guy who composed the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack! Figures the Ryu theme would be some of HIS earlier work... (I mean that in a GOOD way.)
