See a video overview of 3 Precision Power amps from the early 1990's:

Pro Mos 12, 25 and 2050

Pro Mos was short for PROfessional MOSfet. These were PPI's cheater amps, stable to 1 ohm loads. In the early 90's the Orion HCCA series were a extremely popular and were capable of extremely low ohm loads. The Pro Mos series was PPI's answer to the challenge of Orion HCCA....so how do they compete? You'll have to stay tuned for upcoming tests of power output from these very popular old school amps!

  • love those amps , i wanted to buy a 1200.2 the other day but didnt have the cash for it and i think they sold it now :(

  • @mazda2284 Yeah, that 1200.2 was a beast! You'll find another, don't sweat it.

  • Awesome vid! Old school indeed:) Brought back memories of the early 90's

  • @abusiveben Thanks for the comment. I enjoy this old school gear and I'm glad you guys like it too! I have much more to share and will do in the upcoming future...

  • Hate those connectors too. If they weren't worth so much as the factory made them, I'd convert them all to either a terminal strip or direct wire.

  • @normalicy So true. I searched for months trying to find the molex replacement, found the same design, but the size was different..bummer! The guy selling them on eBay must dip them in gold, but I guess it is all supply vs. demand, so if you want the plug, you must pay. Otherwise solder to the board...

  • @BoredAtLakeView I had an Autotek 66, but it went into protect mode and I just sold it for parts or repair. Those were nice, powerful amps as well! A good friend in high school had an Autotek 7100BTS and that little amp was a beast also (Zed built, like the 66). It pushed two 15's pretty good back then!
