About this series:

Pârsi, Zabâne Zende (Persian, the Living Language) is a series of video activities to help you learn Persian (Farsi) as spoken in Iran.

It uses an intuitive and systematic approach to help you learn Persian (Farsi) through Persian without using your mother tongue.

These videos are prepared by Pejman Habibi. For more information about the author please see: http://www.cyberend.com/ph

About this video: This Lower Intermediate level video is a simplified text from an old school text book describing how a group of birds learnt how to defend their nests and their land. (Part 1)

    To aznluvr7 and MsLadly:

I am well aware that providing the English translation would simplify things but these videos attempt to teach Persian (Fârsi) in an intuitive way without using the learner's mother tongue. This approach is a bit more difficult at the beginning but provides much better results in the long run.

    To franciz94 :

I am working on a lesson covering all the sounds in Persian. Don't ask me when that would be ready though. ;)

  • But that would have been too easy, wouldn't it? ;) On a more serious note though, it's much better, though admittedly more difficult at the beginning, to learn a new language without resorting to your mother tongue. Why don't you start with lower level videos and try to work your way up?

    Movaffaq bâšid,

i want to say thank you fore the nice storry. their is one sence you are writting yesk ruz instead of yek ruz, i just want to notiz it fore u.

  • Great! I'm learning farsi and this is a pretty cool way for me to get some listening practice. However, I wish you had the english translation on the bottom. Now I have to ask my Persian friend to help!

  • What is the song at the very beginning of this video? I like it.

  • What would be very useful would be a video giving lots of examples of words with the sounds not contained in English (and many other languages), e.g. the sounds represented by q.

  • hw i wish u wud hv written the meaning in english
