I just remember my yesterday when i was young playing around the dancing hall....
-
@MrSkyColours Thanks fortelling me. Im checking it.

Check out BMG Records. They re-released this piece under the album "Coronets."
If I'm not mistaken, it was during the late 90's or early 2000's.
I have a cassette copy of it. Too bad I don't have the CD. hahaha!

sooooo buuuutiiiiiifuuuulllllll

@bak2mb Sorry, i know that my response is a bit too late. I was in the country this past May-June '11 and we could've met while I was still there. But don't you worry, I'll be coming back home again next summer. Around April-May time frame. We can arrange a meeting if you are interested. Meanwhile, if you want to send me an e-mail, here's my address: lee.burgos@yahoo.com.

@Marist83USA yea right. pati sa mga sayawan during christmas and fiestas. dance for ang laging sinasabi ng emcee.
-
naalala ko tuloy when iwas 18 years old dumadayo kami ng sayawan sa kabilang barrio

@MrYoSo204 According to the album's liner notes at the back, it is said that it was recorded on Carver Studios so that made me guess that it was a nonexistent studio until Jim Sarthou of Aunt Irma confirmed its existence.
-
@MrYoSo204 I wasn't aware that Bob Carver started his career in the mid-70s. I also realized that Aunt Irma and Petrified Anthem recorded some tracks there.
-
talaga naman..circa 70 pumada pa noon eh emilia kasabay ang tugtog na ito
-
i think most of us prefer the first version, i have this version so as the 1995 cd version as well as latest .
-
ty for posting this video, i think it's not carver amp being use here,to my knowledge carver amp by bob carver is founded during the 80's and this album recorded circa 1964 so it could have been tube amp being use and maybe macintosh amp also monitor with altec 604 speakers.

@igorotvirgo79 Siprahin mo na lang. Madali naman yung tugtog e. I even doubt it if you can find the transcription online or anywhere for that matter.

Wow! It's really the original recording of the Coronets band. It's better than other versions by Cesar Manalili and other artist. I love it's bass. How I wish it had a good treble too.
The only bad thing here is the picture of Cesar Manalili And D' Coronets album that is shown on the video. That album, under Aquarius Records, does not contain this track, perhaps only on mislabeled pirated CDs from Divisoria and Quiapo, hahaha!

@MrSkyColours Thanks for noticing the video itself came from various Cesar Manalili cds on Aquarius that has almost NO connection to the recording apart from the title of the song. When I posted this, I just bought the lp from a collector and from the source itself, the recorded sound is really bad like it was transmitting from an AM station with bass. While most of the tunes are recorded properly and has a better sound. And since I was elated upon the purchase, I reckoned it would be a good...

Idea to post it on youtube. I don't own a digital camera that time and I am not very familiar how to use the software to make this video, I just simply copied and pasted anything remotely related to the tune. Sorry if the photos mislead you somewhat.
