The second part of Mark Lewis's 1988 short film about the invasion of tropical areas of Australia by introduced cane toads. His latest film is called 'Cane Toads: The Conquest' and was released in 2010.
The cane toads have now spread across the top end of Australia and have moved into the northern part of Western Australia.
In this part, fans of the cane toad speak of their affection for the creatures.

There is a reason why Queenslanders were referred to as ignorant 'banana benders' and behind the rest of Australia for so many years, not helped by having peanut-farmer Joh as Premier for donkey years, and this documentary sums it up, from a very stupid decision onwards.

Our native marsupials are being killed off by these pests, Quolls in the N.T r rapidly loosing the fight becuase of this Pest i understand they r a old couple and see the joy in the lil buggers But if we don't act NOW!, we will loose many of our Great animals and all that will be left is Foxes, Hares, pigs and the canetoads!
I'm a proud Queenslander and i hate Canetoads WE DO NOT LOVE THEM! and shame on you for making QLDRS look like this.
