Broadstairs is a picturesque and a charming little seaside resort in South East England. Few famous character of the 19th and 20th century came from this area:Dickens and Ted Heath.Charles Dickens wrote Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, and other popular novels of 19th-century England. Ted Heath was prime minister in the early 70's who took UK into EEC.

  • I'm afraid your commentary sounds like you are being held at gunpoint.

  • Thank you. I try harder next time!

  • I like elevator music! Unmistakable sound of George Shearing and his quintete. Sadly this fine blind pianist died a month or so ago.

  • This video in 2009 was our first impression of Broadstairs....next year we go there for the third time....great little village, lovely rural surroundings. We stay at a cottage on union square, you can catch a glimpse of it at 1:40 mins.... As for the commentary and the seagulls, sadly I must say it was far better than this elevator music ;-)

no no no,,,, I LIKED THE COMMENTARY.. especially the sounds of the seagulls.. the best on you tube.. very loud and natural.. not often you get an echo like that in a tunnel.. Also, where else on you tube is there a relaxed tourist who has taken great interest in our British Broadstairs... please put the sounds back..Charles Dickens would be pleased too.
