Thanks a bunch, I have been looking all over for this. Would have been amazing to see it in its original context (1973 on a TV).

All of the commercials back in the day were extremely cheerful and in the 70's to have someone crawling on glass in front of thousands of viewers it was seen as more grotesque than it would be viewed today. The "art" aspect of it would be the small odd clip of "the terrible and real" within a large amount of "happiness and fallacies". I find it interesting. Thanks for posting it here.

This is amazing.

We could squabble about definitions until Doomsday, but the point is that Chris Burden did something and he put it on television. For whatever reason, you came here and you watched it, and that's all he wanted. He didn't ask you to like it, or understand it, or care about it. So feel free to not like, understand, or care about it. Whether or not it is "art", it is "something", so please don't just dismiss it because it doesn't fit a traditional label.

@GBCTwo If he did that They wouldn’t have allowed it on tv.
-
@peterinfamilyguy really? then what is art?

Let me say something viewers, this.. is not art.. this is stupidity. And anyone who probably cannot see that, has something wrong in their heads. Those are true words.

"Through the Night Softly." This film was shot by Charles Christopher Hill. They saw the glass and pulled over. Chris stripped down to undies and Chas grabbed the camera. The spot purchase was sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Watch Kids. This is you're brain on drugs. Any questions?

If he was really serious about the glass, he would have taken his underwear off.
This is the stupidest I've ever seen. I'm glad it made your Ego happy to show such an assinine thing to the viewing public. I'm hoping the guy who sold you valuable ad time for this crap was fired.
