The cedar wood is very expensive. You cannot use pressure treated wood.

It's a thing of beauty to be sure!!! My local raccoons might still be able to get into it but I am still thinking of using your lead and doubling up the critter guard. Thanks so much for posting this.....You RAWKKK! (;o)

very nice, thank you for sharing. Some one told me that I need to either use specially treated wood to prevent rotting or apply a coat of roofing cement all around to prevent wood rot. I'm not sure, if it makes a difference whether you use cedar, redwood, or plywood. I know that composite definitely will not last. thanks again.
