very nice, thank you for sharing. Some one told me that I need to either use specially treated wood to prevent rotting or apply a coat of roofing cement all around to prevent wood rot. I'm not sure, if it makes a difference whether you use cedar, redwood, or plywood. I know that composite definitely will not last. thanks again.

@Dolphconn That's a whole lot of money for something that simple. It would take a long time to pay for itself. What was the most expensive part of the planter?

The cedar wood is very expensive. You cannot use pressure treated wood.

$1,600.00 is the price, this is the best local price I could find on cedar wood.
