Santa Pet-Pics Ottawa: Pet Photos With Santa~Ottawa Humane Society

We accidentally came across Santa the other day at Westgate Shopping Centre. (a fundraiser for the Ottawa Human Society actually) He was sneaking in a quick visit before things got too busy during the Christmas rush. You can donate here http://rebeccahappy.com/DonateHS

All his close animal friends, especially those that were adopted out by the Ottawa Human Society were there in full force to get their pet photos done for their owners that came from across Ottawa.

All the people helping out were volunteers including Mike and Jenny Photography (http://mikeandjennyphotography.com ), Santa and his helpers from Pet Valu and The Ottawa Humane Society.

I never would have thought that pet photography was something people had done. It was hard to tell who was having more fun, the pet owners or the pets themselves. They were all pretty well behaved among themselves but I would not want to sit on the rug in front of Santa's feet at the end of the day.

I never knew that Santa had a soft spot for Ottawa pets. When my kids were young we always waited to see him at the Santa Toy Mountain parade.

The pet photo's with santa are a big hit and some of the pet owners have been coming for years as has the Mike, the pet photography guy. I can see why. It initially hit my funny bone to know that Santa had this private sitting with Ottawa pets but I guess if you want to get in on the fun at Christmas and your kids have moved on, pet pics can make your Christmas card sending interesting.

I am sure there are pet nuts all over the place so you should be able to find something...or at least do a photo shoot at home with some of your theatre friends.
