My Video Tribute to Kerry Decker - 12/12/09 - part 1 of 2

Here is my video tribute to good friend Kerry Decker, who passed away on Dec. 9, 2009. Kerry and I shared a great friendship for 32 years. Kerry was KKD1247 on YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace. Ironically, he passed only 2 days before what would have been his 62nd birthday on Dec. 11th. This is part 1 of 2.

A few weeks ago, I had written to Mr Decker, to ask him if he would have been interested in selling any functional 8mm cameras. I wondered why he had not written me back & I just found out about his passing and though I never knew him, I was saddened by it. Thanks so much for this post.

Penpal is exactly what I thought of when you explained how you started your friendship! Video penpals, and keeping it up so long is truly amazing and such an interesting story!

I heard of Kerry Decker through my boyfriend, John Reagan, who I think found a true soul mate in Kerry Decker-even though he never knew him! The interests, passion and even that first video letter to you remind me of John a lot!

I'm loving the 80s titles! And omg were they all video tapes behind you!? Impressive!

Hey Ray, haven't been on YouTube in quite some time, so I just found out about Kerry this AM. I never got to meet him in person, but was hoping to when I moved to Florida. This was a wonderful tribute, yet again you've outdone yourself, thanks for posting. RIP Kerry, you will be missed.

I just got word last night that my friend Kerry passed away. I am shocked beyond belief. . Last time we communicated was when we were coming up with plans for his show on the final space shuttle launch this September. This was apparently 2 days before he passed away. Kerry was very enthusiastic about the project. He was going to do a "Night Life" themed show going back in time showing his footage of Columbias launch and fast forward to present day. We all will miss him.

RIP Kerry. :(
