  • @massiveattack786 Why would you need one.

  • @AntoniusRome No. You need rennet to make other cheeses. You can find it online. Also pick up some citric acid powder.

  • I made it. I loved it. Brought the remaining whey to a boil and made some ricotta cheese. Took the fromage and ricotta and make stuffed shells.

  • @0623kaboom Thank you.

  • @AntoniusRome You can make your own vegetable rennet, there are several youtube video's on how to do that with stinging nettles and a few other plants. You can also use lemon juice and vinegar, again a few recipe's on yutube with those ingredients as well.

  • very cool video :)

  • Just made this. quite yummy. thanks for the recipe.

  • Yeah, I just figured out my problem. You might want to be aware that the amounts in the video are different than the amounts on the website, which is where I copied the recipe from. As a result, there wasn't enough buttermilk or lemon juice to the amount of milk. Just letting you know.

  • I tried this recipe, but I didn't get nearly as much. I think it's because I didn't get that many curds. I heard that it won't work with ultra pasteurized milk, so I didn't get that, but it still didn't quite do what it should have. I don't know what I did wrong. :(

  • When making mozzarella can you substitute lemon juice for rennet? I cant find that stuff anywhere.
