Both the new Core i7 and Atom n270 processors run at 1.6Ghz... what's the difference between 'em then? Patrick talks cache, bus speeds, cores and more in the video.

  • Some Core i7s runs at 1.60ghz when idle, when at stock clock it runs about 2.0 ghz(depends on the model or version) while atom n270 runs 800Mhz at idle, 1.60 at stock, AND 2.0 Ghz(APPROX) when overlocked. Core i7 is a quad core processor and has 8 threads. atom has 1 core and 2 threads.
