  • i have the worst ocd, i lost my closest friends over it, i lost the connection i had wit my fam, i lost my reputation, i lost my personallity, i lost my enjoyment and motivation to do the things i used todo.. i hate it , i feel so alone, i need help. i need sum1 to speak to about this..

  • @IgetDOWN916 I think you're in for a pleasant surprise. You haven't lost your personality. In fact when you come out on the other end of the tunnel, you will see that you have just gotten stronger as a result of ocd. I honestly believe this. I'm assuming you were spiking when you were typing this comment though.

It's crazy, I remember what it was like to be constantly obsessing over useless shit, and now it just seems so far away. Go see a psychiatrist. Seriously. It works.

  • Props to everyone who has commented on this video. HOCD is a horrible thing. It's like a hypnotist, and can make you believe what it wants. For anyone struggling, I found CBT a life saver: it confronts you with your fear, and you retrain your brain to respond to these invasive thoughts. I've been going for a month now, and tomorrow is my 5th session. It is a life saver, and the effects are huge! I still spike from time to time, but I can feel it losing it's power. Don't suffer silently.

  • @HAADOOKEN Thanks for the good news! Keep it up!

  • thanks! I stay awake all night thinking horrible, disgusting, perverted things and I now know its OCD. I thanks you for your advice, but I still have severe problems with my thoughts, so I need to work on that.

Just one question, when you told your parents did they think you were disgusting, or a freak. I haven't told anybody for fear of that and I don't wanna go on meds (no offence to anybody who is, I just dont like pills).

  • @CoolBeagle If anything it was a relief for my parents. They didn't think that at all. They knew something was wrong since I wasn't being myself when OCD kicked in.

Maybe your thoughts are disgusting. I can assure you I have some really disgusting thoughts too. But I find a lot of them kind of funny, since their meaningless. Doesn't mean I'm disgusting. Hobos are disgusting, but I'm not.

  • @IgetDOWN916 I have ocd also. I've had it since I think I was about 6 or 7. I'm now 39. I'm also an alcoholic. I'll have 4 years sobriety in March. Being sober certainly has helped me with ocd. I take cymbalta and chlozapine which helps. My main symptoms are repetitive thoughts. I know the frustration ur talking about. I think the biggest thing that has helped me though is excercise. It clears the mind. Sunlight also helps. I'd be happy to talk to you more. I still struggle with ocd.

  • That was just one of the many things that was bothering me and making me feel compelled to do things.

I have really just learned to overcome it for the most part. I have to remind myself how silly it is and that I shouldn't let it control me.

Lovely video. :) thanks for sharing xoxoxo

  • Oh, I'm really glad I watched your video. (: I had little things with being OCD when I was 7-10, somewhere around there. Then being compelled to do things went a way for a while, but this past summer it was terrible. I am so glad to have seen your video, because one day it popped into my head that what if I was lesbian/bisexual? It bothered me and I would have to do things over and over if I was thinking about that while I did them. It felt like I was going insane.

  • I have HOCD worst than most. It all started back in July when I was watching this new show based on a true story called Happily Divorced which is about this woman who has been married To this man for years and then he wakes up in the middle of the night and tells her that he is gay. Ever since watching that show I have had no crushes or feelings towards girls (I'm 16 years old and have been both sexually and emotionally attracted to girls and women my entire life starting at 4) and have been co

  • @E2ekiel555 well maybe! But everybody is totally nuts in some way, and so are you!

  • I think you are very brave to post this video! I'm happy that you managed to get over it! Let is be an inspiration for every sufferer!

  • 15 years old turning 16. Been heterosexual my whole life and then I got hit with HOCD. Its horrible but you know what I heard. People who have HOCD were the ones who loved girls the most and valued romantic relationships- I am a guy. I want to tell everyone if you were REALLY gay you would know at (10-12 and maybe 13). I began puberty at 12 so yeah. Stay strong everyone. You are not gay trust me. Even if you dont trust me your still not gay.

  • @SepherStar Oh wait. I understand. It was on already.
