@TEDOVSKY I should add that you don't neccesarily have to think about these things ahead of time or as you write the song. But at some point you should examine your song and figure those things out.

@TEDOVSKY I think what she's trying to say is that when/ if you break away from a traditional song structure .... you have to be aware of it.
Even if it totally works you should be thinking about how you made it work and why it works.

I'm trying to write traditional, melodic punk rock and I've thought alot about song structure. A lot of songs have an untraditional chorus and it still works. it's awesome.
