Imagine if Hitler could have seen all the hippies and 60's culture and how they held the beetle as an icon.

Thats very good video and its another example of that people in usa are 100 years behing europe especially comparying the historick knowladgeI'm a VW fan owner of '69 sparkafer (cal-look project) and I coud say that all my firend and me are interested in history on the first place and the knowladge of typical vw enthusiast in Poland is massive not only the build or hi performance tricks the history of the gratest car in the world VW kafer.

My granny bought one of the first ones in Oregon, $800 around 1951. No gas guage, mox nix sticks. When one VW would pass another, the drivers would exchange addresses & go out for coffee. It became an elite club! And of course everyone gave their VW's a name. Hers was "Gus" (short for "gesundheit")

makes me glad i fell love with our volkswagen in the 70's when i was a kid...because the other side of it's pretty bad...yet, it was beloved by millions...i guess when you put shit in a garden, it helps things flourish...what a universe...

Thanks for posting this, I'm looking forward to watching this when I get home from work!
The advertising guy with the grey longsleeved shirt is an idiot. juste because Hitler had the idea does not tarnish the car itself. The car is just an object...the people who are responsible for the attrocities, on the other hand, do deserve punishment.

I personally think it wasn't really the fault of the car itself that all those people died. The Beetle's past can't change the fact that it's an intelligent and long-lasting design, something very lovable to us VW enthusiasts. I've known the history behind the car for a while, but this video was certainly worth the watch, thanks for the upload.
