@JacksonShredder18 Maybe because it's too polished as a production and the songs are too technical for D.R.I. There is some almost progressive kind of stuff on this album and very little punk/hardcore vibe.

@JacksonShredder18 Obviously personal preference. Simple as. A lot of HC bands, even the best took on a more metal sound at some stage, including Af, Cro Mags, Warzone Crumbsuckers to name a few. Was that just the way the scene was going? When the metal and thrash bands were touring with the HC bands thye inflanced each other and got coverage in Metal media. I agree with you though, The sound is less important than energy and intent. Punk or metal, do you like it is the question?

I don't know why a lot of people rip on this album. It goes back to their more faster crossover sound. Even though all of their albums are good.
