Incredible, they always say that "there's not enough research", there's never enough research, even if there was a thousand researches they would still say the same thing, while on the other hand with only one flawed research a dangerous pharmaceutical drug gets approved and commercialized. The problem is elsewhere, because if we begin accepting hyperbaric therapy as a regular treatment for a long list of possible applications (see Dr. Harch's website), people will need less and less pharm drugs

@issjason true that, issjason. the same goes to my country. despite us having a partial subsidies from the government, it is still expensive from even middle-class income group. the doctors especially, has to be optimistic about this treatment. many are still doubting the 'power' of hyperbaric treatment. they usually substantiate their view with such things like; it is too expensive, time consuming and has little results.
hope hyperbaric gets the recognition it needs.

@ospreylookout i have personal experience w HBOT under high atmospheric pressure & pure oxygen via sealed face mask. the USAF uses it in their hospitals for wound treatment. it also improves memory, reading speed, & comprehension. so yes it could very likely improve the health of anyone with a neurological deficit.
-
@issjason Good luck with that! There is no way that HBOT will be taken seriously because there is no evidence to support its use other than a narrow scope of conditions that are related to acute oxygen deprivation. No studies have shown stroke patients benefit from HBOT.

@sploc310 It is always funny to watch how immature some people get when they all of a sudden find themselves way over their head in a topic, no idea what they are talking about....then they resort to childishness. Ya, you call me a "bitch" and somehow that adds credence to your argument? Retard. Try just going to university and getting an education instead of selling bs.
-
@sploc310 Hey pal, you can sit in your chamber all day long, but, until you can show evidence that it is effective, then you are going to be sitting all alone. GO IT EINSTEIN?
-
Hey hot shot, u must have nothing better to do than run your mouth all day on you tube like all the other little girls out there. I'll catch you in my Hyperbaric chamber when you suffer a stroke or your child suffers from autism wishing like all my other patients that they never listening to ignorant fools like you and did hyperbarics sooner to better their lives. Im done with this conversations. I actually have a life and work to do. Keep rambling on bitch,

@sploc310 Try providing a single study that shows HBOT is effective for ANY disorder of the CNS....ANYTHING...
-
@sploc310 You said, "Everybody else on this comment page agrees it does, except you." How old are you, 12? What kind of retarded comment is that? As if the efficacy of a particular therapeutic intervention is based on consensus of a bunch of under educated goofs who agree with you? Come on pal. You better hope that your doctor doesn't follow that mantra. Why not ask your little pals on Facebook?
-
@sploc310 It is the responsibility of the claimee to provide the evidence for it, and so far the emperor has no clothes. There is NO EVIDENCE that HBOT is effective for the treatment of autism. Autism itself is a spectrum of disorders, so even the diagnosis is complex and for that reason, it makes understanding the etiology difficult. But, regardless of this, there is no proof of concept that HBOT could even work. Please get an education in health science at a reputable university.
To get insurnace companies to cover Hyperbaric Therapy.....we would need thousands and thousands of people to start asking for it to be covered. It starts with 1 person standing up and saying they want Hyperbaric to be added and then everyone telling there friends about it and having them call their insurance company. Eventually it will be added. Hopefully in my lifetime : ) As Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy gave my wife a 2nd chance at life.

I'm about to publish an eBook to be sold through Amazon that people can buy and download and read and submit to their insurance that fully documents the who, how, and why, HBOT has been successfully suppressed for brain-injury for 40+ years.
