This is video I shot from my last game at Old Comiskey. I wanted to soak in as much of the flavor as possible. It wasn't about the game, it was about that park. All that's missing is the smell of grilled onions, mixed with the cigar smoke, mixed with the marijuana, mixed with the beer, mixed with the urine. I've since moved to St. Louis - Cardinal fans and Sox fans are very similar in one respect.....in that when it comes to Chicago baseball, there is only ONE major league team........THE SOX!

  • These are great videos. I went to my first Sox game in '87 when I was two years old. Though I was young, I remember all of this. Thank you for bringing back to life images of my past that I will always remember and love.

  • @earcella19 Thanks for the props. There's nothing like your first Sox game....I was probably 5 when I went to mine.....still remember it today......

  • The Sox played Seattle the last game, I thought you said this was the last game?

  • @crabbigail2007

This was MY last game at Old Comiskey. It was only mid-September. Thanks for enjoying

  • Old Comiskey gets robbed by not ever being included as a "classic" or "legendary" ballpark on video games! ugh!

  • To think that Chicago had Wrigley Field, Soldier Field (the original Soldier Field) Chicago Stadium and the Old Comiskey Part all at the same time.

  • Please don't ever, ever, EVER take this video down. I absolutely loved this park and I often have dreams that the Sox play a few games here per year in upstate New York, where the park was reconstructed after being taken apart brick by brick. Bizarre, I know, but it's a recurring dream and I love that dream. The new park should have been built to resemble the old park, but unfortunately they built a big barn with little to no character, even though the recent renovations have spruced it up.

  • I am not even a White Sox fan, but as a a baseball fan, I wish I couldve been there. I love this!

  • great vid! i can't believe how nostalgic i'm getting over this. i'm soaking it in with you.

  • isnt it the same thing just they added some stuff, and took down some stuff

  • Thanks for posting. I went to a game during that series but don't know if it was this one or not. Glad someone had the good sense to videotape this.

  • Andy the Clown lived a few blocks away from me when I was a kid. Near 58th and Pulaski.

  • Cool video. I wished I would have watched at least 1 game in the old park. 1st game was a Sox-Cubs game in 1997 at US Cellular.
