-= READ THE DESCRIPTION =-

This is the Tokyo Game Show 1995 build of BIO HAZARD (Resident Evil) as well as the second "SAMPLE 10/4/1995" build in this video.

This is a prototype build in the Alpha stages of programming. It features infinite ammo, no menu's, and on the fly weapon switching (double tap O to change weapons).

In this build you can see the enemies respawn when re-entering a room and most have different skins and sound effects. The Zombies have slightly different annimations.

Also when trying to blow a Zombies head off with the shotgun, aiming up does nothing. All you have to do is aim at the Zombie and the head automatically blows off.

Another difference is that Triangle is the action button and to run you double tap on the UP arrow. The knife does not even require you to hold R1 to swing it so all you have to do is press BOX to swing.

Another difference is in the aiming speed when trying to rotate when your gun is out. The aiming in the version is even slower than in the final build.

In the "SAMPLE 10/4/1995" build, you can quick turn by holding TRIANGLE and pushing left or right on the D-Pad. This will make your character turn incredibly quick and is useful for dodging enemies at close range.

  • Thanks for sharing this with us!! Feels like 1996 all over again

  • @Segasaturnguy No problem man. These are available for download on HiddenPallace if you are interested.

  • You have to use either the "Magic Key" or "Slide Card" for PS2's. It won't work if you try to swap straight from a Action Replay.

If you have the old fat PS2, you need the Slide Card, but the slim PS2 need the Magic Key.

  • this looks cooler than the newer RE games

  • Cool footage. Can I ask how you were able to run this prototype on a real PS console? I tried running this with disc swapping with the same Action Replay disc as yours but no luck. =( It would be greatly appreciated.
