POOKIESNACKENBURGER Dustbin Dance
The piece was originaly written and choreographed by LUKE CRESSWELL (founding member of STOMP) as part of the band's stage show: it proved to be the starting point for STOMP's climactic dustbin dance.

  • Still very good after all these years!

  • This is the 'Yes No Men' - remember laughing at their name on the credits

  • i just watched BELIEVE The Eddie Izzard Story and it mentioned this Pookiesnackenberger...quite impressed.

  • My God - I remember recording this... I worked as a set builder on this series - we filmed it all out at Royal Victoria Docks (all very barren and windswept in those days). Luke, Steve and I drove around collecting dustbins all over the place, then rigging them up in one of the huge warehouse spaces... great fun!

  • Hi Andy,

Sue Bradley, the only female memeber of the Pookies, is my other half. We'd love to get copies of any of the material you have on VHS please! Email me at tim dot pilcher at ntlworld dot com.

  • Brilliant

  • Hi Eddie,

No point asking the BBC, the series went out on channel 4,

    Cheers, andy

  • hey, im actually in the show stomp on the us tour, if you could shoot over a copy of that pookiesnakenburger stuff then maybe i could comp you some tix if we are ever in your town!

  • Hi Andy.

Do you think that you might have the episode featuring the spoof band ' Hell Bent' ??

A rather bizarre but fab episode airing song like 'hell bent' 'Ashes to ashes, dust thy chopping board lightly with plain brown flour' and some spinal tap 'esque Morris dancing..........???

I've searched for years for it, but even the BBC say they have no copies on archive ???

    many thanks. eddie
