This is the first video in a series of using LilyPond and TexShop to format great-looking printed sheet music, tabs, lyrics sheets, etc.. The source files in this series will be hosted at http://www.chicagogrooves.com/lilypond/ . The program I'm using, TexShop is for Mac OSX, but Lilypond itself has a windows version that works pretty well.

  • Very nice! is there anything special that must be done to get TexShop to work with LilyPond? I'd love to see a video explaining how to set this up. I also noticed that the notes in the staff do not match the notes implied by the chord diagrams. For example, the D triad is in the wrong octave and the G chord doesn't have all the notes of the diagram. How would one correct this?

  • Great info! It looks like a fun and useful tool for songwriters... I'm gonna definitely pass it on!
