Gardner goes to the California State Capitol Building in Sacramento with his Mom JoAnn, along with hundreds of CA citizens to hear and testify regarding the argument for and against the constitutionality of Proposition 8 as challenged by House Resolution 5. HR5 was introduced by California State Assemblymember Tom Ammiano on Feb 17, 2009. The California Supreme Court decision to uphold or overturn Prop 8 will be ruled on most likely before June 2009.

  • Notice the people supporting Prop H8 have no argument. All they have is scriptures and irrelevant beliefs.

  • Feel free to practice bias and bigotry wherever you find an outlet for your hate. As far as the laws of the land go, such unfairness can not and will not be accepted.

No more restricted public places, no more seperation according to "class", no more double standards favoring one and discriminating against another.

Those days are in the past. If you like to live in an unfair society, you'll need a time travel ticket to the past. The future is for those who can get along with everyone.

  • The will of the people is such a hocus argument. Because the "will of the people" was not upheld in the late 1960s when interracial marriage was passed, in 1965 75% of Americans were against interracial marriage. They were against integration but we did not put those civil rights up to a popular vote. Because in this country we do not put civil rights to the whims of a majority, that is why we have a Constitution, to protect the minority from "the will of the people."

  • lol at the opposition ppl so predictable just look at them

  • I must ask, why do gay people like to 'sound gay'? (and I support gay marriage, I just dont understand why they like to sound that way :D)

  • exactly what rights are being taken away from the majority? the right to discriminate?? anyway... prop 8 OVERTURNED! Next up the Supreme Court!

  • @azodinblitz Do you just randomly look for year old comments to argue with?Is it your hobby?11 months have passed and opinions can change you know.

  • @mnm20098 why call it something else? how's that fair at all? That my friend is treating gays differently... They're are people with feelings too, why crush it? Have a heart. People are calling you selfish because of things you says. "they can get married, but they should call it something else?" That's really kind for you to say for a non selfish person...LOL...

  • I love the fact that my favorite song is played in this video: Endlessly by Muse!

  • I dont understand how they could of still upheld prop 8 after hearing those speachs. This is what religion does, it sperates and destroys everyone. relgion is fucking bullshit. equality is coming, people will look back at this event and be disgusted at how stupid some poeple can be. The younger denerations are very accepting of change and they want a world filled with love not hate. the ones that hate gays/gay marriage are slowly dyeing out. Love always wins, and it will win in this fight.

  • Well use words that make sense you fool!
