I don't know where that discussion started but comparing Jay to Bob Marley is a little much. I think that is an example of how overated he is by people subject to the main stream of hip hop. In the present compared to most he is nasty, but overall he is not as good as people claim.

Music can only feel good for so long, but music with lyrical skill an meaning is timeless. Get some knowledge, learn about some shit that time could never depreciate. read a book or two you ignorant twat. lol, saying jay's lame is like saying Marley was boring, they both touch ground on political and social issue lyrically.

@theartistcalledWES I use to think that funny enough, until I read his interview in shortlist mag a few months back about this track, since then I think his even more refined. in my words, I think his a state of mind ahead of all the other rappers, and thats what makes this track stand out! An I think a great states of mind is kinda like an acquired taste, you gotta be in it's class to understand. Listen close to lyrical content you'll hear how it aint meant to be #1, it's a message to rappers.
