that made me so sad, my Buddy is the same breed and looks so much like your Zulu. My housemate had an albino cockatiel that passed away from a seed husk getting stuck in his nostril.
cockatiels are very unique and affectionate to good owners.
losing a pet is one of the most painful things in life, I am still trying to come to terms with the murder of my cats i have a video of them on my page.

It is hard.. Zulu was very sweet from the start, he loved us.. - Yeah, thats what I thought, night fright since everything was perfectly normal hours before he passed.

Sometimes they can have heart attack or a night fright that gives them a heart attack - for him to go so quickly that sounds like what happened - I have hundreds of cockatiels and that is the most common way they pass on if not from old age. I can fully understand your sadness it has been said that losing a pet can be as painful as losing a very close loved one because they give us unconditional love! Tricia
