Hockey is like politic (exactly the same bullshit) If Toronto could recognise the best seeds, they would fedd them, protect them, promote them and make them understand their mission for the sake of the nation. We could predict the future PM for the next 50 years.

Instead, the is defiance between gardeners and head seekers. That is why we have plants from the west. LEAFS must acquire VISION for the future. We will help them to win the Stanley Cup. In exchange give us Sundin for one year.

LEAFS do not build enough around the young prospects. This is why they have no cups since de sixties. On the other side HABS will be very fragile when the young players will be free to go for a best salary. This is the disadvantage to be a gardener. HABS fan has a lot to learn from LEAFS fans and vice versa. If HABS and LEAFS could collaborate each others more LEAFS would protect theur best crop and grow to become an enormeous tree with a lot of leaves.

A head seeker from Toronto will look at this and freak about such a decision because he is not a gardener. And obtening a choice in 2009 rounds will seem completely nonesense uner a head seeker's eye. The gardener looks into the sub gardens and knows whose plant will be disponible in 2009. So he knows he makes the good decision. Sometimes HABS fans are send in mission in Toronto to explain how they can grow excellent plants for the future.

We have here two excellent plants Huet and Price growing on the same soil. Here is the mechanic of a gardener decision : one plant is not growing by respect of the second one. One plant is weaker under pressure. The younger plant is stronger under pressure. We have to remove one to leave the other grow. This is the difference between a head seeker (Toronto) and a gardener (Montreal) By the way Les Habitantss means the farmers. A head seeker will search for a candidate already made and pay the high price for immediate hockey productivity. A gardener will plant a seed and can wait many years before a result.

I have not answered at the time to your reaction concerning Huet because I didn't want to put energy on that dossier but now I will take the time to do it. A LEAFS fan can't understant a HABS decision because Toronto and Montreal has 2 complete different approach.
