It's a query that's hit me halfway through this and by the end it's still itching at me - perhaps she's talked about the matter, but as a gay male I watch gay porn. What does she think of gay porn; is her opinion the same in regards to this? It's just she seems to believe that men control women to be in porn and the like and this obviously can't apply here.

I'm assuming her stance is virtually the same.

In her book she says "I didn't study gay porn because it uses its own representational codes and conventions," whatever that means. But you're right- her argument hinges on porn being inherently misogynistic and gay porn completely blows that out of the water.

You can then talk endlessly on how every option is problematic without putting blame on that person so that that person is made very clear that the partner feels trapped and frustrated. That person will then have to make a decision or never feel at ease as well.

And I would also understand to give it up if she can provide me her as a replacement, but if I get both to be told not to be able to have sex with her as much as I want and no outlet, I would leave the relationship even if it looks like she'd be my last chance. Who wants to be in a relationship where you go to bed every day sexually frustrated for the rest of your life?
