NEAT---Looks like long drawn out doings to get the small gold separated from the dirt--but that little vial of gold sure looks sweet

in general gold has been always present were there was heavy black sand. its just that way ..but it does not mean that there will be gold there for sure.. i any one spot. keep trying and just have fun at it.

Just for fun I panned a full pan out of the stream beside where I live and got half that much black sand but no gold. Heavy mineral sand is not the best indicaitor IMO, but lead shot is!

@MUDSWAT the place we were digging at is noted more for fine flour gold . more up river pickers show up if your working hard. it was a good day. had fun with chris..

you are panning in some the area that i gone during the summer month of the year 2009. much of the gold is flood gold

yes your right. there is plenty as the season opens but as soon as the people get out to prospect after winter there aint much left.

i live in upstate ny. i'm gonna go for it and do me some panning. not expecting to find anything ... but all i need is 1 pan and a dream. thanks for the vids !!!!

if you dont get a chance and find anything, keep looking. read up on anything you can that deals with gold in your state. also try gem hunting! i hear you have plenty of different types there , also if that don't work, look at my video of randy s rich Georgia concentrates and see if that's something that interests you? good luck!
