I was told about 9 of them are fully operational at DMZ. But they're in for trial bases. They're great for night patrol

I hope they aren't planning to charge a lot for these things.
They're very easy to take out and a great place to get free ammo.
Any 10 year old kid with a RPG could make quick work of of them.

Yeah, good luck hitting something smaller than a person with an RPG out of range for the gun, then if you by some miracle DO hit the thing and disable it, good luck finding any usable ammo.

You have an extra chromosome that makes you special, don't you?

I don't have to be out of the gun's range, only the range of it's motion sensors.
That thing will never be able to pick somebody out of that tree line behind it.

Yeah, thermal imaging has a real problem with trees.

You go on with your bad self. Have you ever fired an RPG? Good luck hitting anything smaller than a car, even at (relatively) close range.

Yes,it does.
And RPG 7s are routinely used on man sized targets.
And laser & GPS guided systems can hit targets the size of a football for 1,00s of yards away.

This thing may look cool but it's a useless toy.

the trick would be to mount it in places where it would be a nasty supprised.

it would be kinda cool to see it on top of a vehicle, and what to keep it from ff? some sort of an FCS-like network
