Locations: North Shore - Waimea Bay and the West Side - 3rd Dip

Two destinations for this the possibly last surf session podcast for 2006. I got up early with lady and headed up to the north shore to take a look at the much anticipated 25 foot waves day. Well the conditions were big but barely visible in the bay. The rain and wind made it tough for getting good shots. So I drove an hour to the west side where the road almost ends to go to a nice break called 3rd dip. The waves were coming in from the North west swell and there were more folks out in the break than I have ever seen before at this spot. The waves were crackin and the wind was a whipin but the rain couldn't stop those surfers from rippin at the dip.
Waves 25 to 6 ft. Windy Rainy and cold (78˚)wind off-shore 10- 15 mph

hahaa, I was going to ask how surfers like body boarders in the line up, but the last shot of that guy having his face sliced off by a tail fin answered my question. Thanks!!

well there is a rivalry that exists but when the chips are down they all look out for each other. I've seen body boarders come to the aid of surfers and surfers rescue bodyboaders. BUT yeah if a sponger gets too close to a surfer, skegs usually trump the boadboarder's flat bottom.

Thanks TommyHaegin. Yes i like to switch it up and use the heavier tracks less often and that make them more poignant.

Yeah you would think so. Well they are the guys that get spun and then watch WWE wrestling and yell yeahhh as loud as they can. They come to the beach and harrass the tourists, until we remind them that this beautiful park was built with tourist money. F**k that! then we politely remind them of who we are. Works every time.. peace..
