Now it is winter you may want to stay inside and play COD. My advice for camping is to use the AA12 and just hide in a dark doorway and shoot anyone who walks in the door before they have a chance to see you.

Don't do it!!
ppl always say you can use "birch bark" to start a file & in most case's thats TURE, however its not so true when its being raning and it's a nighmere to get lit, But ppl argu this point and say it dont matter its wet as "it's full of oil" But in my experience it dont make any difference, i could never get it to light. so whats your view / experience of this ?

@cyberjackcyberjack - As with all tinder - my advice is to either carry it with you - so it is "tinder dry" when you need it - alternatively - gather tinder - including birch bark first thing in the morning and keep it in a pocket close to your body - it will be dry enough by the evening to light your fire. I always carry enough dry tinder to start a nunumber of fires - all in a small reindeer skin pouch

Excellent video, I especially liked how you cooked the trout over the fire with that special skewer. How did you make that? Wire? Thanks for the great information.

No wire, just split stick and 3 skewers. Trick is in filleting the fish so it's all in one piece. It's called Ponassing - Someone taught me many years ago.
