Thomas Hart Benton - From the Ozarks and Beyond Part 3

Thomas Hart Benton was born and raised in Neosho, Missouri. The son of Congressman M.E. Benton. In 1906 young Benton went to work as a surveyor's assistant in the zinc mining fields in Joplin, Missouri. Benton subsequently took a job at the Joplin American Newspaper as a cartoonist.
